Bassist Taras Prodaniuk was born on
May 18, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was raised in the
beautiful San Fernando Valley, California.
He has produced,
performed and recorded with Richard Thompson, Lucinda
Williams, Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle, Elvis Costello, Buck
Owens, Sara Evans, Spencer Davis, Emmy Lou Harris. He is
also a sought-after studio bass player and producer.

Lauderdale, James Intveld, Brett Dennen, Falco Jimenez,
Cowboy Jack, Trisha Yearwood, Kenny Chesney & his own band

Taras has been playing with Dwight
Yoakam for nearly 9 years. His connection to Dwight was
through Pete Anderson, whom he met while working in a music
store. They performed together in various country and blues
bands and they kept in touch with each other as Dwight´s
career took off.
He currently resides on his ranch
in Sunland California with his wife, horses & extended
animal menagerie. Taras and his wife of 15 years,
Wanda, own
a vintage clothing store. Taras enjoys shopping for the
